About Us

Our Mission

Through its "Building A Better Community Pathway 2045 E-Smart/E-Stewardship Initiative," the Village Solutions Foundation, a faith-based community development organization, empowers communities for a sustainable future. We drive energy independence, reduce economic burdens, and create local opportunities by fostering energy literacy, championing environmental stewardship, and deploying clean energy solar initiatives. Our work extends to connecting congregations, communities, and families with crucial sustainability resources, energy assistance, and homeownership support, augmented by technical assistance for faith-based and community-based organizations.

Our Story

Since its founding in 1999, the Village Solutions Foundation has functioned as a faith-based community development corporation dedicated to building stronger communities. We achieve this by providing critical environmental sustainability resources and homeownership support directly to congregations, residents, and families. Our commitment extends to empowering community leaders and non-profit organizations through strategic technical assistance.

By thoughtfully integrating the resources and efforts of our faith networks, community-based partners, and key stakeholders, we effectively help our communities embrace and realize neighborhood revitalization and stabilization. This collaborative approach enables us to collectively create more vibrant living options, significantly increasing the quality of life, work, and worship within the communities we serve.
